Schedule Bluesky posts straight from Notion.

Bluesky has no scheduler of its own. Write your posts in the Notion database you already plan in, set the time, and they publish to your Bluesky account automatically.

The honest overview

How do you connect Notion to Bluesky? (3 ways)

Notion can't post to Bluesky by itself. It's a planning tool, not a publisher, and the Bluesky app has no built-in scheduler, so scheduling Bluesky posts always means one extra tool. There are three ways to do it from Notion. You can draft in Notion and paste each post into Bluesky yourself, which keeps the writing calm but brings back the daily chore. You can connect a Notion database to the AT Protocol API through an automation tool, which works if you are happy to handle sessions, image uploads and link formatting yourself. Or you can connect NotionScheduler, which reads the database you already write in, adds the scheduling fields, and publishes each row to Bluesky at the time you set. Bluesky posts are capped at 300 characters with up to four images or one video, and you connect by signing in on Bluesky itself, so NotionScheduler never sees your password.

Not possible

Notion on its own

Notion has no built-in posting. It can plan your Bluesky content well, but it can't publish it — you need something to bridge Notion and Bluesky.

Powerful, technical

Automation tools

Make, Zapier or n8n can post to Bluesky from a Notion database through the AT Protocol. Flexible, but you build the workflow yourself, including uploading images as blobs and marking up links so they are clickable.

No-code

NotionScheduler

Connect your workspace, add a few fields, write in Notion. Posts publish to Bluesky with images or video, clickable links and link previews — nothing to build, nothing to maintain.

Step by step

How to schedule Bluesky posts from Notion

Once your workspace is connected, planning and publishing Bluesky lives entirely in Notion. Four steps:

  1. 1

    Connect your Bluesky account

In your NotionScheduler dashboard, choose Bluesky and sign in on Bluesky to approve the connection. Your password stays with Bluesky, and you can remove NotionScheduler from your Bluesky settings at any time.

  2. 2

Connect Notion and add the scheduling fields

Authorize the Notion database you already plan in. NotionScheduler adds the properties a scheduler needs — date and time, status, account, media and an optional first comment.

  3. 3

Write your Bluesky posts in Notion

Draft a week of posts in one sitting, attach up to four images or one video to any row, and set when each one should go out.

  4. 4

    Let it auto-publish

At each scheduled time the post publishes to Bluesky, links already clickable. If the row has a first comment, it goes out as a reply under the post.

Why it works for Bluesky

Short posts, steady rhythm

Bluesky rewards people who show up in the conversation regularly, and 300 characters means every post is quick to write but easy to put off. Batching a week of posts in Notion, next to the rest of your content plan, turns that into one calm sitting instead of a daily reminder you keep ignoring.

01

Batch a week in one sitting

Write a run of 300-character posts at once, schedule them across the week.

02

Images and video

Attach up to four images, or one video of up to 3 minutes, to a Notion row.

03

First reply, scheduled

Add a link or extra context as a reply under your post.

04

Sign in with Bluesky

You approve NotionScheduler on Bluesky; your password never leaves it.

Bluesky specifically

A real row: a 300-character post, two images and a first reply

Bluesky counts 300 characters and a link counts at its full length, unlike X, which shortens every link to 23. Notion won't warn you, so keep long URLs for the first comment or check the row with a Notion formula (length(prop("Name"))). Images can be JPG, PNG or WebP, up to four per post, and Bluesky rejects any single image over about 1 MB, so export compressed files rather than full-resolution screenshots. A video goes out on its own (no images beside it), as an MP4 of up to 3 minutes and 100 MB, and Bluesky asks the account to have a verified email first. A row with only text and a link gets a link preview card, like a post from the Bluesky app.

Can't find it? Ping us from the support page once you're in — we actually read those.

Yes. Notion can't post on its own, but with NotionScheduler you connect your workspace and your Bluesky account, write posts in a Notion database, and they publish to Bluesky automatically at the time you set.

No — the Bluesky app has no built-in scheduling. To schedule Bluesky posts you plan them somewhere (like Notion) and use a tool that publishes on your behalf.

No. You connect by signing in on Bluesky itself and approving NotionScheduler there, so your password never reaches us. You can remove the connection from your Bluesky settings whenever you like.

Yes. Up to four images per post, as JPG, PNG or WebP, each under about 1 MB — or one MP4 video of up to 3 minutes and 100 MB. Bluesky doesn't mix images and video in one post, and only lets accounts with a verified email post videos.

Yes. Fill in the first comment field on the Notion row and NotionScheduler posts it as a reply under your post once it's live — a good place for a long link or extra context.

Yes. Links in the post text are detected and published as clickable links, and a post with no image or video gets a preview card for its first link, the same way it does when you post from the Bluesky app.

Yes — there's a free Notion content-calendar template you can duplicate straight into your workspace; grab it from the template section on this page. Prefer your own setup? NotionScheduler adds the fields to any database you already use.
