How do you connect Notion to YouTube? (3 ways)
Notion can't upload to YouTube by itself. It's where you plan the video, track scripting, filming and editing, and write the title and description, but it has no connection to your channel. To schedule YouTube uploads from Notion you connect the two, and there are three ways to do it. You can keep the production board in Notion and upload manually in YouTube Studio, retyping the metadata you already wrote. You can connect a Notion database to the YouTube Data API through an automation tool, which works if you are comfortable maintaining it and handling large files. Or you can connect NotionScheduler, which reads the board you already run, adds the scheduling fields, and uploads the final file with its title and description at the time you set, publishing it or setting it to scheduled on YouTube's side. Shorts need no flag: a vertical video under 60 seconds is treated as a Short automatically.

Notion on its own
Notion tracks the whole pipeline — script, shoot, edit — but it has no upload step. It can hold the final file and the metadata; it can't send either to YouTube.
Automation tools
Make, Zapier or n8n can upload to a channel from a Notion database via the YouTube Data API. Workable, but video uploads are heavy on API quota and you handle the auth and retries yourself.

How to schedule YouTube uploads from Notion
Once your workspace is connected, the upload becomes the last stage of the board you already run. Four steps:

Connect Notion and your channel
Sign in, authorize your Notion database, and link a YouTube channel you have upload access to. That access is the only requirement on YouTube's side.

Add the scheduling fields

The title is capped at 100 characters and the description at 5,000; write to those limits in Notion rather than discovering them at upload. A vertical video under 60 seconds becomes a Short on its own, with no flag to set. Custom thumbnails through the API depend on your channel's permissions, so the row keeps the thumbnail as a file for reference and it's set in Studio afterwards if the API can't.
